and I'm looking for variations

is there one where you just throw it at something and their card is different to the rest

Can anybody please help me? I'm having terrible problems controlling my streetmagic- I can't walk down a street without turning into a pub.

with an intercessor you can reveal a uniquely torn card just about anywhere. I think in the intructions that come with the intercessor there is a story of a magician doing a card trick where the specator chose a card, the corner was torn off, the spec kept the corner whilst the main card was destroyed. The spec went to get his flight, flew to his destination and when he got to arrivals there was an envelope waiting and in the envelope was his card and the corners matched.

I used to use the intercessor where there card was in a sealed packet of crisps not quite as extravagent but it did the job.

Check out the section on the ACR in Expert Card Technique... it's in there.

I like to do a simple spin card and reveal it that way.

hey slightly OT

So you force a card on the person. And you get them to shuffle it. What's a cool way to find their card in the deck rather than riffling through them.

at the moment I just riffle through them and say something like 'this isnt one of those trick decks' and I find the card, get eye contact, and put it on top of the deck. not very flash at all.

A simple revelation you can do: get their card on top of the deck and give the it a few mixes. Show the top card, let's say it's a six, and ask whether or not they would be impressed if their card was six cards from the top.

Whatever they say flip over the card, take the top card counting 'one' before tapping it on the table and moving it to the left or right another five times as you count to six (in this example), as if you were counting out six cards. On the last number turn the card face-up to show that the top card has now changed into their selection!

All accomplished with a DL  :D.

Simple, but it really does work well.

There is also another way similar to that in the encyclopedia of card tricks. I think its called magical breath but I changed mine to magical tap. This trick works well for me and all it takes is a simple control and a FS.

Was one of the first effects I mastered but still gets great reactions even though it is one of my simplest. (Now where have I read that before).

Can anybody please help me? I'm having terrible problems controlling my streetmagic- I can't walk down a street without turning into a pub.
