Princess Card trick principle

Hey peeps does anyone know who owns the rights to this trick, and how to get permission to use it?

Im trying to sell an idea but I need permission to use this effect within the routine?

Websites seem to give this one away as a freebie or sell it as a low cost item. The only name I can see associated with it comes from http://www.magic.org/store/product_info ... ts_id=1690 which says:

The Princess Card Trick pronciple dates back to 1905 and was originated by Henry Hardin.

There have been so many effects created from it that I doubt you need to permission from anyone - unless it is heavily based on one of the existing effects.

Some of the names that have a Princess Card trick are

Daryl (Several), Aronson, Vernon, Annemman, Larry Jennings and Gordon Bean, Paul Harris/David Blaine just tio name a few off the top of my head

Of couse the whole thing was spolit recently when the numerous web based effects started popping up...

Yeh Ive googled those ones, apparentley I need permission or so Ive been told by the shop in question !

I thought that as it's one of those ideas that goes back years, you wouldn't need to worry about permissions for using it.

I kinda stumbled upon an idea whilst using this priciple, thats why I want to use it, cos it goes hand in hand with the effect that im making.
