Derren Brown - Magic Square Question

Postby Carl Buck » May 16th, '07, 08:30

Morning all!

Just a quick question, in Derren Brown's stage show of a couple of years ago he did a fantastic routine to end with, using a magic square. Can anyone remember the premise for this, ie how he justified having the numbers in a square, at what point he entered the numbers into it etc?

Thanks!

Could you maybe elaborate a little bit? There are several tricks that involve a "magic square", especially those using mentalism.

Which is why I'm asking, as I can't remember the premise he used for producing one. :?

I'm afraid if you can't remember anymore details, it's going to be near impossible for you to get an answer. Sorry :(

i too would like to be reminded of this presentation, as it was a couple of years ago now since i seen it, as so far i have found the magic square to be quite a dry effect

OK - it's just a description of the stage show I saw, not the methods and secrets.

I like the solution in Chuck Hickok's Mentalism Incorporated and in Doug Dyment's MindSights. Chuck provides a great premise.

yes mindsights is a great method especially with the stealth wallet set up, just have had trouble framing withn something i am happy with so that it was an interesting effect.
