Mine is ordered and has been promised very soon. I will be writing a review.

I met Matt at Blackpool and he was performing a few things from the DVD. To say I was impressed is an understatement. I actually knew of him anyway as he has had bits and pieces published in Genii - but seeing the effects performed makes you appreciate exactly how strong they are.

The thing I like about this dvd though is that he is performing magic in the real world to real people (nothing against the l&l crowd, but I have never seen anyone get so excited about a coin being tossed in the air).

I can see Party Animal being popular for the working professional and the hobbyiest who wants to impress his mates down the pub. Maybe we have the new Oz Pearlman? I am trying to negotiate with at the moment so that he does close up magic at the Ipswich Magical Society Convention this year. (Sunday Oct 21st - keep the day free).

You should. It's one of the most thorough productions I've seen in a while in terms of explaining everything you need to know about the effects, where they came from (including the sleights and subtleties), and generally a few variations on each.

I am very impressed with this dvd set. The production of this is terrific. Th elive segments are well shot and really give you a feel of how these play for real people.

The explanations are thoroughly explained for the most part.... there are a few times when I wish he had gone a little deeper but I can deal with that. The routines are very commercial and well thought out. His idea for the Anniversary Waltz is brilliant.. a walk around version... brilliant!

Get these dvd's.. I don't think you 'll be disappointed.

Back on topic though, this is an excellent DVD, full of great ideas.

The Card at any number particularly is such a great idea, I'm going to start using it straight away.

Sorry for the hijacking..

Yes this is a great set of commercial magic, well thought out, well performed, and well explained. I love Matthew's thinking. His card at any number plays incredibly well.

As I have mentioned, the Anniversary Waltz has been "improved" by many people who simply succeed in confusing the effect. His approach is not only clear but can be done without a table! There is a 'moment' in his routine that particularly tickles me.

One of my benchmarks of a good video is one that is watched more than once. All I can say is I have been watching these all week. I love em.

Get these dvds!
