Sam Sharpe - The Magic Play

Postby nikmagick » May 13th, '07, 14:47

Hi,

Does any have, or know where I can find, a copy of Sam Sharpe's The Magic Play (Chicago, Magic 1976).

I've googled, but can't seem to find one in the UK.

Any thoughts?

The Magic Play

:) You might try Magic Books By Post to see if they have any left( mine came from there some years ago now) It was still in their last printed list( Sept. 2003 at £4:25p) but you need to check the on line catalogue.
Also drop them a letter and ask if there is an odd copy around,
Otherwise write to Magic Inc. Chicago Ill, USA. I don't know their e mail address. They are the publishers.
I have read a big article about this cumbersome illusion, somewhere in the last month but heaven I can't remember where. Old age? Am not sure if it was in a recent magazine but parts of the script were quoted. If I rediscover it I'll let you know.
It must have been in Stan Allen's 'Magic'..I know John Gaughan staged it at a Magic Collector's Convention. just a few years ago. Or The Linking Ring.
One more source might be to put out a plea on The Magic Cafe forum. I had several items sent to me from this & Genii Forum.

Jeb, could you please share the URL? I'd love to get some old magic books.
