ITR Hookup when wearing a T-Shirt

Postby mallmagician » May 17th, '07, 04:55

Hi,

I live in Thailand now, and often just wear a t-shirt. Anyone have any good ideas for ITR hookup? I have a Thread Boss at the mo.

Cheers

hi phil, i read this and it got me thinking.
living in northern england i don't have this problem, it's t-shirt weather here about 3 days a year.
first of all you are going to need something to attach it to, how about wearing an elasticated strap around the body, hooking your ITR on that and then pulling the IT through the fabric of the t-shirt with a sewing needle. or a strap around the upper arm, but you would have to be careful about the sleeve moving.
do you wear a hat? i have used a hat for a lose IT hook up though i have never tried it with the ITR.
please let me know if you come up with a good solution as it could come in handy for me :)
also, go to the introductions page and introduce yourself, you'll get more replies if people know who they are talking to.

Yeah, I thought about the hat thing, but truth is, I seldom wear one. Plus it would put the ITR too high for my liking.

I like your idea about feeding it through the fabric of the shirt, but fear that this will cause the ITR to snag, and resetting after I get a break would be a royal pain in the ass.

After pondering this as I type, You may well be onto something there! Hidden in the design of the shirt could be a small eyelet, like those you thread your laces through on your shoes. Made of the right material, or coated with something, this eyelet could allow the thread to move through the shirt with little to no snagging. Reset after a break would be a lot easier too (Although admittedly would mean a trip to the bathroom to remove the T-shirt!)

Hmmm, Maybe we should manufacter this! :) Make a fortune! But then this is a public forum!

So, on behalf of us both. ***Manufacturing Rights Reserved!*** :D

What do you think? Ideas on a design that would hide the eyelet?

Make a design around the eyelight that's about the same color of your skin. Then people won't be able to tell there's any whole there.

That's certainly what I would recommend, although I'm sorry to break it to you but putting eyelets in things for IT is not exactly original...!
