Good to see your being looked after :D

Looks like your moving in the right direction! I also highly reccomend the books you have chosen.

Also I would suggest using GO MAGIC GO: BEGINNER SERIES PODACST as a study guide for Royal Road.

Just scroll down the "2005" shows section and find Begginer series lesson 1, in total there are 30 shows for you covering all the important parts of the book and advice to help you get the most form it.

You might aswell start listening to the regular show too 8)

Welcome aboard

However....if you suspect that you may want to use certain special (aka 'gaffed') cards with your normal packet in the future, you should be looking to invest in a couple of packs of Bicycle Poker-size Playing cards (cheapest on-line price @ £1.50 per deck, from magicbox.uk.com).

Most gaffs are only available in this design.

Hope this is of use mate! :D

Excellent I'll be getting these as well then - http://www.magicbox.uk.com/shop.php/sho ... p_247.html

The pack I have at home are really really really really sticky! Lots of Crib games played with them!

So I can imagine getting frustrated without some good cards to get me going

Oh, absolutely - if your only decks are worn/dirty/crimped you'll possibly struggle, which I can imagine being very frustrating seeing as you're just starting-out.

A couple of decks of bikes will stand you in very good stead
