I'm looking for a Sankey sugar packet trick?

Postby laban » May 19th, '07, 18:24

I don't remember where I saw it but it goes somthing like this :
He takes a sugar packet, tear a little opening on the side and then shoots the sugar, in a straight line, from the packet to his cup.

If anybody knows the name of this trick and where I might find it (preferably + explanation) please tell me.

Thanks

Laban, there's a couple of things wrong with your post:

1] This is your first post so obviously you haven't posted an introduction in the "Introductions" forum. Without an introduction, not many people on here will open up to you.
2] This is a magic site, not an exposure site. Nobody is going to point in the direction of a effect explanation if you don't pay the rightful owner of the trick.

I've learned #2 the hard way and believe me, you should not pirate effects at all and start to become acquainted with the fact that magicians aren't going to give up their secrets to you for nothing.

You'll find it on one of his DVDs, which you can BUY from most reputable online magic stores.

We don't deal in stolen goods here, as you'd know if you'd bothered to read the forum rules.

Although this post is out of line, I will tell you that the "effect" Sankey did was shooting milk from a creamer. This was just a bit of goofing around for the camera in the Sankey-Sanders Sessions DVD.

Now... What do you all think? SinBin?

There shouldn't even be a question about it.

you all got me wrong,

when I asked for the explanation, I ment that I want to know where I can find it (not illegaly).

I have the Sankey-Sanders Sessions DVD which I BOUGHT with MY OWN MONEY , so please don't treat me like a criminal before you get to the bottom of things.

I did say before that I've seen it somewhere, and thank Michael Kras for reminding me. Though, in this DVD there is no explanation for this trick so I asked you guys where can I find it.

BTW : although it may seem like a dumb question (not to mention it's about a sankey trick), I am not new to magic at all. And all you guys here, in the forum, seem to make a mistake, confusing message count with real time knowledge.

Well, excuse my english,
and thanks for the answers

He could have been looking for an explanation but he also had a valid question, he just made a mistake in asking to expose, a little like some people have done in here but now they are alright.

Don't slag him off, let him know exposure is bad and not just throw him to the sides. I don't think it should be in the SinBin seing as he has asked a question and it has been answered.

Hey, give this guy a break!
Before you attack him, calling the poor guy a thief and a pirate, read his post first!
He never asks for an exposure or anything illegal. He asks the name and where he can find it, which translates to me: On which DVD?

I would have answered: There is a DVD from Jay Sankey from 1994 called: Sankey Very Much. On that DVD there is a trick called: Sugar Rush. I don't own that DVD, but this might be the one you are looking for, but I don't know for sure. You could also send an e-mail to: contact@sankeymagic.com and ask them directly.

Regarding Introduction, I agree. Laban should go there right away and do the right thing. But... getting a repremand from monker59 is just sarcastic, because he never introduced himself. He hijacked Brian Tanner's introduction and said absolutely nothing about himself...

Laban, I'd like to apologize for myself and some of the other members of the forum for being so quick to judge. The problem is that there are a lot of people who join the forum and their first post is something like "I saw this wicked cool effect where a guy changes kings into aces, where can I get a free download of the explanation". I personally don't acquaint posts with knowledge. So anyways, sorry and I hope you find what you're looking for.

yes sorry too but it was this line worded as it was that apeard that you had not read the rules and were after an explanation of the trick.

if you had added website or dvd etc to the above we probably would not have jumped so quick, again sorry for the misunderstanding.

Even if you weren't looking for an explanation, you failed to post and Introduction.

Kras, stop being a jerk. We apologized and you're giving this guy c*** (not the best) about not posting his Introduction in this thread in the Misellaneous forum. Cut him some slack.
