presentation best yet camera positioning as good as it gets, first and second slights spot on, third may not be necisary (sp) lookes a bit odd.
perhaps go form second sleight to a sneeze for coin reveal.

thanxs i belive if first and second are anything to do with pitching then shoot uses it a few times in his cultural xchange vid no 1 not sure about 2, worth getting for the use of silent moves in noisy clubs, lots of tips on presentation sublties.

Ahh you mean the Shizoid Move? It is similar but not quite the same as the Shizoid. There is a much cleaner display of the bare handin Skutt's interpretation.

First I have to say that the effect appears very angle restrictive and only useful for a narrow angle such as a camera.

Second, having made the apparent push up your nose, your fingers seem so very strangely crooked and unnaturally bent.

Third, when you switch the coin from hand to hand it is so very obvious.

My 10 penneth for what its worth.

i really dislike tricks like these, they always make me think of "uncle bob magic"
not saying anything about your presentation, as it seemed ok-ish to me, (exactly the way skutt performs it)

but in my mind, whats magic about sticking a coin up your nose?

It's closer to impromptu amusement than magic.

Like sleightlycrazy has said, it is more of an amusing stunt than a magic effect. I just love the look of how clean it appears to be and I also love the cool sleights involved. Mr. Skutt is probably one of the most zany magic thinkers today. He is so bizarre and I love it! He often wears large glasses without lenses and has created such bizarre magic as:

Shoving a coin up the nose

Changing a fold in his shirt into a red sponge ball in a visual way

Revealing the date on a borrowed coin by spilling hot coffee or tea on the table

Producing a signed coin from his sock.

As you can see, very bizarre. He has a very good stlye of humor as well. I sent him this video and he replied. The first thing he said was "I like your shirt"

I also recommend you look into Mike Skutt's effect called Couple Card. It is genius but it requires a few gaffs and some flash paper. You can find it on the Sankey-Skutt Sessions DVD available at www.sankeymagic.com if you wish to learn more of his magic. Kras, we're not gonna like it anymore even if you do name all the other great tricks Mr. Skutt has come up with, no one is disputing it. It's just that we don't think it was very well done.

You'll quickly learn that the audience doesn't care at all what sleights you use. If you ask me, the only sleights you need to perform amazing magic is a decent palm, a DL, and the classic palm for coins. Teach a layman those three sleights and he could wow an audience for hours. Teach a kid 1000 different sleights and he'll put YouTube videos all over the 'Net, bordering on exposure!

That's about hitting the nail on top of the head. Learn from it, Kras.

Yes, you're right. I know laypeople don't crae, but the sleights do feel nice. That's all I am saying. Great advice though, those are the 3 essential sleights. Ever palm coins all day long? I do! It's a great way to develop a good positioning. I found a great position for coin palming that looks very natural.
