Deeper and Deeper
Slight of Mind
Building Blocs
The new encyopedia of stage hypnotism

One tm member who I shall not name incase I embarass him has been a most helpfull chap in this area and I would like to thank him publicly.

And one day I would love to be able to do what you do or be even better ;) Also I looked at some of your products on your site. Do I need to be Luke Jermay to be able to do them.

Yeah, I loved that look as well. I think it mainly has to do with the fact that she has been telling me to go in one direction the entire time.

Then I walk off in another direction.

We need the audio

I don't have any plans to release the method and script, but I may do, one day.

If I do I will let you know :)

Actually it works better with limited audio IMO.
Liked the music too - what/who is it?

Great idea, like a 'guess the caption' photo contest lol

I agree, for the laymen I have spoken to there is a real sense of wonderment at "what he is saying".

The Music is specially composed, and is my 'signature' sound, if such a thing can exist; for my shows, vids and anything else.

Well done :D (and a great start to the forum)

Thanks for the kind words.

Glad to hear that you have a keen intrest in the area; it is a field for which my passion is still burning strong. All of my professional qualifications are in applied psychologies and I have had my own therapy practice for about 10 years now. There are so many amazing and wondeful things to see and experience on the fringes of psychology.

If you ever need any reading material leads, let me know.

Thanks :) if I can do anyone can; go for it.

I am not quite sure what you mean by 'Do I need to be Luke Jermay'. Let me know and I will be happy to inform you on the products.

To everyone who has posted a reply, thank you, your appreciation and time to post said appreciation is appreciated ;)

I dont expect to be that good by next week, but a couple of hints as to where you started would be really helpful!

haha - i can imagine ten years down the line asking someone for their wallet and them going "nah - you can have yours though" and me being pick pocketed ;)

Beard for suggestion, Them books in my list are great for it. Start with deeper and deeper. Move up to the encyopedia of stage hypnosis and round it off with sleight of mind. I actually read slight of mind first and thought hmm this is a bit silly. So I got hold of deeper and deeper and it made a whole lot of sense.

And thank you Mr Brook for the offer of help.

Be prepared to lay some money down. Deeper and deeper is £15 the encyopdeia is £45 , slight of mind is another £30. Also Deeper and deeper will help you decide if this is for you or not.

Hey Paul, were you not gutted after filming 'four play' and all that psychology training to learn of the existence of an 'ID'?

:D I am VERY impressed. Few questions: what you 'suggest' to the spectators - is it classed as psychology or hypnotism. Its just that I noticed someone mentioned the 'encyclopaedia to stage hypnotism' and I’ve had my eye on it for a while now.

Did you get any classes or did you stick solely to books?

Lastly - how long would it take to get to a decent stage to be able to competently perform this as you do.

Many thanks,

Alex

Hi Alex,

Thank you for your kind words :D

I was fully aware of the ID, although the effect was one of getting 4 different people to think of the same card.

I could have used an ID, however, the day was VERY cold and the chances of getting a random hit of four cards of the same suit and value are not very favorable to say the least

Suggestion doesn't have to involve hypnosis, hypnosis is purely a state in which suggestions are more readily accepted. However, a lot can be learned from studying in the fields of hypnosis. It is something that I have studied for a long, long time now; both by reading and having private tuition. If you really wish to be the best that you can be, I would propose that you take up private tuition.

I would also advise that you seek out a stage hypnotist to get you started and train you up, instead of a Hypnotherapist or any one in NLP. If you follow this course of action it will soon become self evident why I recommend this. I am not having a dig a hypnotherapy, I have a Therapy Practice in Birmingham, and for many years I have been a therapist, including hypnotherapy. For what you wish to accomplish, Stage Hypnosis is better suited.

As for the question of how long it would take you to perform a pattern interruption I cannot say. If you study hard AND apply that knowledge then a few years should be enough for you to 'cut your teeth'.

I will say that practice is the most important aspect of any psychological work. Books are fine, but they give you no feedback.

Your failures will sculpt your mind and tongue.

I hope that this helps.

Kindest,

-Paul
