Alakazam not responding to emails

I placed an order for some Loops at Alakazam on the 22nd of May and while I got my Paypal confirmation that the money had gone through I never got an email confirmation from Alakazam. I waited a few days before sending them an email, then another and now over a week since placing the order I've sent three emails and haven't heard anything from them. I've been sending my emails to sales@alakazam.co.uk and since that seems to be going nowhere I was hoping someone knew of some other email address I could try.

There were postings on another forum about this. Apparently they've been changing their computers over, or had some problem or something but that's been fixed now and Peter's catching up on his emails.

Failing that, what abraxus said.

Hmm - that's odd; I emailed Peter with a question yesterday at the sales@alakazam.co.uk address, and got a response within the hour.

Perhaps you should try one more time, and then give 'em a buzz?

Hi this is Mike from Mike Danata's Magic Studio. I've no idea if Peter has been hit by the same problem, but there is currently a big issue with Tiscali (internet provider) at the moment. I am with Tiscali, & there has been problems with emails for about a week now (see todays Daily Telegraph). As people will realise (who deal with me) I attempt to reply straight away to emails! However for about a week now, many emails have not been reaching their destinations. This has been affecting 1000's of people.

Tiscali seemed (at first) to deny that there was a problem, but when it was apparent that it was going to take "Time to sort" they finally admitted that THEY had been hacked into by "Spammers" (don't buy your "Anti Spam" package from Tiscali!!). They are sorting the problem out but it may take another week. The strange thing is that SOME emails are getting through, & some are not. If you send an email through Tiscali, it will appear in your sentbox, but MAY NOT have been received, & you will not get an error report, so you won't know!!!

Tiscali have (finally) admitted to a problem on OUTBOUND emails, but have NOT admitted to a problem that now exists with INCOMING emails, (were not getting any!!) I have set up an alternative email with a different server, BUT if you send emails THROUGH Tiscali, they still may not arrive!

All my PayPal orders are going out on time, though I am not getting the emailed confirmation of order. I am checking my PayPal account CONSTANTLY to catch the orders as THEY COME IN, so we don't have any problems now. Tiscali were at fault for not INFORMING their customers.
