Hello,

I recently gained a fascination with Paul Harris. He seems so odd and his magic has received tons of praise, and now I have taken an interest in him and his magic.

Does anyone know anything about him? Is he a drifter? :)

I will most likely buy The Art Of Astonishment at The CAM Convention in two weeks. Can anyone recommend any of his material? Any history behind him?

There was just a HUGE and fantastic article in MAGIC Magazine about him, but it mostly focused on his time with th writer recently and his new projects. Apparently there are 9 Art Of Astonishment DVDs in the works which look great.

Any information or recommendations are appreciated!

Well, for starters, he's a good friend of Eric Mead, who's one of the best around.
Paul's performances aren't as good as his creativity. He doesn't emphasize the magic enough- he expresses himself. Some of the odd looking effects were inspired by paintings. His methods are often simple relative to the effect. "Leaf" is pure genius.

Currently Reading "House of Mystery" (Abbott, Teller), Tarbell, Everything I can on busking
