I Vanish

Postby card_shark_2006 » Jun 4th, '07, 03:27

This is a rough version of a vanish that I want to develop to be more 'adaptable'. I want to turn the chair so people don't think I'm at the 'dead angle', but at the moment, the gimmick doesnt work well with it. Anyways, hope you like it...

Not too bad! Improve the gimmick a little though!

You might need to work on the angle of the gimmick a little bit more. Other than that, nice job!

I would ditch the vanish idea, because the gimmick doesn't match up with the rest of the mat, and looks really obvious.

Clever idea none the less, however i think its going to be very hard to get it right, and seeing how this can only be done for the cameras (because someone will walk around the back otherwise) i think you could invest your time in better ways.

Nice use of the TT :D

Well, like I said, it's just a rough idea. I'm going to fix up the gimmick and all. This could be a pretty good stage effect depending on the layout of the seats.

One thing you must ask yourself though: "Why the chair?" What is its purpose? You should come up with some sort of theme to accomplany it to give a reason for the chair being present.

An obvious reason for the chair would be to sit on it during a previous effect.

Currently Reading "House of Mystery" (Abbott, Teller), Tarbell, Everything I can on busking
