I suggest Mr Kras does not follow Mr Lewis's advice, as it will get you banned from almost every magic forum, as Mr Lewis has so brilliantly demonstrated.

I think I have posted one small comment on Mr Kras' material and that was just an opinion. I have held back on posting about him but have got his lecture notes.

And for a 14 year old, I do not see why you are laying into him so hard. He is trying his best and although some may think he is not listening to advice, you have given him very little time to let him take in to advice.

It cannot be done instantly, so give the guy a break.

I actually look up to Mr Kras in the respect of the way he has stood firm on the forum. If I was a 14 year old and joined a new forum to which EVERYONE was mean to me, I would be clicking the little "X" on the top right of the screen more times than I've had hot dinners.

So congratulations Mr Kras, keep at it and you will certainly get far in the way of magic is concerned.

Thank you!

Why would marklewis' advice get me banned? Please explain! This sounds quite interesting.

Bit of a generalisation isn't it? Many members, myself included, have given him feedback. No malice. Just feedback. Many members haven't even commented on his material...

Ok, a majority, not absolutely everyone, but the people who have been mean really have laid into him.

looked over the material and so far its consice and explained well but definatly pics of some sort will need to be added and parts of the text sectioned out to make things clearer.
the content is equaly as good as most books iv'e read lately, perhapse thease notes acompanied by some video demonstrating the effects and techniques would be a reasonable way to go, if illusionist can get away with it then mike certainly can.

still some stuff to digest but getting there, since i have no idea what a half pass would look like, iv'e checked my royal road so have some idea what a pass would look like.

the coin routines ive had a chance to see in person on video and provided you have a basic knoledge of coin work you would be able to do the work in thease pages, i still think a pdf / video combo is the best way to go for future lecture notes / releases.

I'm glad I was holiday for this Kras bashing. This sort of thing always gets out of hand. Seeing as I'm back now, ...

I think you'll find that's "English" by the way.

I'll leave you lot to it.

list to follow:-

card tricks, Leave A Mark (a production from cards), Signals (uses kras crimp) Ripped At The Seam (torn n restored card) and Prediction Plus (card to envelopes).

coins, Crystal Cut, Clink! (roth does a nice version of coin to glass), Time Warp Coin and Ring-A-Ding Surprise (can be ring , signed coin or other object), roth does an around the world routine that incorporates a similar idea.

utilities, The Half Pass Peek and The Kras Crimp.

wether the card routines are origional in there entirety a cardie will have to make a judgment on them but most routines in this document use tried and tested sleights and variations on them so could have been concived independantly.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l428-IiCn3s never mind found one, didn't know you needed a horse though.

i've sent you the word doc back, with my comments in red young fella...

fair play to you actually...though you're over complicating some of it, and re-inventing the wheel on others...it's certainly not as terrible as some have made out...

all you need to do is keep a level of humility about yourself, keep the level of excitement up, but dont let it make you blind to more simple subtle methods...

maybe just keep all your lecture notes together for a year, then review them again - and see what you can reduce down...

I never got my lecture notes.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.
