Not at all! Adults have better control over the children... they see them as an autority figure. And as nice as children's performers are, kids are still intimidated by them. They are not intimidated, however, by a 14 year old.

How can you say I am a child? I don't jump in front of magicians' tables or steal their gimmicks!

I didn't say that at all. I said:
monker59 wrote:because you are closer in age to children

Closer to children, not a child.

I wouldn't advise people on reading posts when you don't.

Errm...actually monker, in all fairness, you did say:

monker59 wrote:
Um, no offense, but are you aware that you yourself are a "kid"?
, so Mike was quite correct in questioning that statement.

Whilst I know that there's little love lost between you and Mr. Kras, it is kinda' obvious that you follow his posts around the board, and frequently make comments that could be interpreted as negative.

I'm not sure if I'm alone in this or not, but this is actually making me feel that you're becoming guilty of some of the very things that you accuse Michael of

Perhaps it may be wise of you to consider actively avoiding his posts for a while?

Just a friendly observation from my little corner of the world :D

Well, I'm sorry. I meant to say Kras is closer to being a kid than an adult. Besides, I'm sure most people would consider him a kid.

Actually Monker, most consider me to be more of an adult than a child. Just the way I act and the friends I have. Only about 1/50th of my firnds are children.

Thank you, RobStanley. Monker, why can't we just be friends? Why hunt my posts every time you get on here and pounce? I just want to get along with everyone here and make this big, happy family even happier.

Hey - a peace-offering!

Being only 3 years in age apart, perhaps you guys could start a really productive set of PM-sessions between you....and blow all of us old fogeys away? :D

I don't want to sound mean, but I'll give you the truth. I don't like you.

Hey, ok. Just wanted peace around here. If you don't like me, then stay away from hmy posts. No more for you.. I have given up on trying to befriend you. Do what you do here, just please refrain from posting criticisms and unnecessary lashings in my posts.

I thought we'd all gone pink and fluffy!

Monker, I've noticed this trend too, and to be honest its not nice, and this forum is not the place for it. If you dont like someone, fair enough, we cant all like each other, but just avoid the thread.

He's not annoying all the time. Just about 85% of the time. When he starts threads, I answer them in hopes he is turning over a new leaf.

*sigh* Sadly, no. :(

Monker, your posts are getting tedious in the extreme. Constructive criticism is one thing, down right negativity is something else.

You don't need to repond to EVERY post you know, you're averaging 400 posts a month at the minute.

Haven't you got any tricks you should be practicing?

Michael - I'm studying more of the mentalism side of things now, and can honestly say both Karl Fulves's and Corinder's 13 steps are excellent books, especially the latter.

Good luck with it.

I thought I was going to find out some mentalism information here!

It's kinda sad to read the above posts! :(

Well...you may think that's what you're doing, but it really doesn't come across that way to me; it just looks as though you're searching for every new post post Michael Kras makes, and posting barbed comments, aimed at undermining the obvious improvements he's made in his posting-style.

A couple of weeks back, I'll happily hold my hands up to being quite frustrated with Michael's posts. However, since that time it's quite obvious that he's made every effort to regulate himself more, and is now making quite a positive contribution to the TM community.

Perhps you guys should just avoid posting anything directly aimed at each-other, and things can begin to settle down a little now?

Cheers!

Rob
