Many magicians do not use trick decks. The strongest tricks come from normal cards, because if you show somebody an impossible effect, they will immediately suspect trick cards. It makes the effecdt SO much stronger when you hand them the deck and the see that it is normal. It makes you look like a real magician.

If you still want a trick deck though, stripper is the best. The most innocent.

yes i agree with micheal get a stripper deck and royal road and amase people and improve your presentation skills as you learn the slights you need.

most magic dealers sell both but you could try nums, hosted by our own seige.

You've said that you're not good at cards and I assume that you want to get better!

If this is the case then forget buying fancy decks such as Vipers, Ghosts and Tigers. Also forger buying any trick decks for the time being!

Instead, get a good card book and you can find these on the web and lookiung through the TM search function and then, buy six normal red or blue backed Bicycle decks as these are the cheapest and as you are learning your cards will wear out quite quickly through practice.

You'll be very surprised how soon your card skills improve and you'll be performing tricks using these normal decks. I can assure you that you will feel far more accomplished by taking this route and you'll impress far more people.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

IMHO I do away with all them vipers, ghosts and limited edition old skool deckz.

Get yourself a brick of bikes and learn the sleights and few tricks. My main reason is that a lot of the time a mate of mine will hand me a deck at a party or something and get me to show some people a few tricks. What do you do then if you can only use gaffed decks?

Thats not to say that gaffs don't have their use but its important to know tricks that you can do of the cuff.

Can anybody please help me? I'm having terrible problems controlling my streetmagic- I can't walk down a street without turning into a pub.

Get a brick of bicycle cards, Royal Road to Card Magic, and Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic, and get to reading and practicing.
