The King, The Joker

This is my first video. I was playing around with cards, and thought of a creative story to add to a certain trick. I won't mention the name, but check out the video http://youtube.com/watch?v=VHvhamo13aQ

and lemme know what you think :D

I have a few pointers:

1. The flash deck in itself is a good trick, it's not good to complicate it.
2. While it is hard to treat a camera like a spectator, you need to act as if you were performing this for real people. In other words, be a bit more enthusiastic.

You did a nice job, but you really added what didn't need to be there.

Nice!

PS: Next time, please post something like this in the "File Sharing" forum.

Haha.. yeah I agree, but I was kind of making up the dialogue as I went through. And it's not that complicated of a trick, so I figured a storyline would be a nice addition to kind of make sense. I liked it better than Sankey's explanation of a connection between the coin and the card anyway.

He wasn;t complicating! He was working on PRESENTATION. The most important factor of performing.

While he didn't overcomplicate it, I feel the effect itself was diminished by use of a tissue instead of the usual method. The fire burned way too long for me.

The strength of the effect, I think, is in how quickly the flame goes up and the coin melts through the cards. With such a delay, the climax is muted in some way.

Your presentation is fine - just keep refining it and it'll play even better.

yeah, i was going for a more impropmtu (haha if you can call it that) approach with the kleenex, but mostly cuz I didn't have any FP.

The original way could seem magical because of the speed of it, but I find the kleenex gives it a more possible feel. And regardless, from a spectators view not having seen the trick before, it's pretty impressive.
