can anyone please tell me the name and effect any good visual tricks that dont use any expensive gimmick like a one of those coin tricks you see that are 40 or 50 pounds if possoble a trick that dosent have a gimmick card coins levitation all are good maybe something unusual and different.

I used to own one. Penetrations, vanishes, and appearances are possible. I recommend you take a look at Mike Gallo's Ball Vase routine. Once you know what the gimmick is it should be fairly easy to follow along with a performance video on the internet.

oh sorry forgot yes thank you i looked it up and relised ive got one have you ever thought of using two and a chop cup. make the ball appear in one vase then it disappears and reappears in the other then it dissapears and turns up under the chop cup

The "DL" is very inexpensive. especially if you already own a deck of cards.

Yeah... I was going to recommend a deck of cards, a few coins, and maybe even (*gasp*) a TT! Total cost: $6 for a lifetime of impromptu miracles!

My recommendation would be to get a TT and one of those cheap pamphlets such as 100 tricks with a TT, to go with it. You can then make impromptu magic happen with almost any small everyday object. A TT is one of the best value magic items that you can spend your money on in my opinion.

I would also recommend a chop cup and if you can afford to buy a set of cups and balls with a chop cup built in then this is where I recommend you invest your time , effort and cash.

And, unlike Michael, you don't need to thank me (and why on earth he asked to be thanked for what he provided is puzzling).

Noob question: what is a TT, and why are they so good?

TT - It is filtered out by TM which I only just learnt . Produce silks, vanish silks, vanish cigarettes, switch bills, swallow a borrowed necklace and pull it out of your stomach (no... really)

It is a great gimmick and it will last you for ages and believe what everybody is saying (including me) ... they will not see it!

I never knew how Crazy Mans Handcuffs worked up untill a little while ago and I get amazing reactions. A true classic but one that no one knows! Nice slow penetration of two elastic bands, one can be held by the spectator. Can be bought very cheaply as well, so that is my recommendation.

CMH also gets wonderful reactions - funny how some of the cheap and simple effects hurt the specs the most
