And don't push it on too far! It only needs to on far enough that it doesn't fall off.

Put talcum powder in it, this will get rid of the stickiness

....Maybe you'll have to do what I did; Get a bigger TT. Try the softer versions - Davenports carry them. If it's XTra large you need then JB have some... :D

Make sure your thumb's not in the tip when using a hot needle  - it hurts like hell. That also goes for softening the hard variety (Vernet) with boiling water.

I use my TT for a lot of liquid effects so there's no way I'd put a hole in it.
I squeeze the TT before using it which seems to get rid of some of the air which stops it from sticking.

Surely squeezing it will create a vacuum making it more likey to stick...

Well, not if you squeeze it before using it. Putting it slightly out of shape will let the air circulate a little.

my only tip is when you show your hands empty show your hands as if in a "how" gesture and then cross your thumbs, tt at back, this hides the join and seem a fair show.
then by rotating your thumb into your fist then out as you wave your hand over the closed fist in one movement you have cleanly loaded the silk tec.
hope this helps.

(Just a swift note - from now on the words in full will automatically be replaced by the abbreviation 'TT'. I know it's not a big secret but we ought to at least try to keep it to ourselves a bit longer!)

^ Nice one, Mandrake :)

Advice: My own TTs are always quite baggy. The action of removing the TT for the steal needs to be as clean as possible.

I have quite big Ts, and my favourite enlargement method is a long soak of the TT in hot water, then push it over the end of a rather perfectly sized hairbrush I happen to have. (It's far more comfortable than putting a hot TT on your T, believe me!!!)

I don't like the idea of holes and slits either, as this makes liquid and powder effects impossible. If you're having vacuum problems, I'd say your TT is far too tight in the first place.

i am new to using a TT. do you think it is better to have the TT fit snugly on your T without a silk? or should the TT be wider than the T. the only think is that at the moment my T looks about 3 times longer than it should and it looks like i have 3 knuckles!

Concept: TT is used to hide items. It is NOT a prosthetic, and thus, it's length colour and size are not as important as fit, comfort and loadspace.

Have a look around the TT posts on this forum.

The length is unimportant, as in normal use, this can be hidden.

My preference for everyday TT use is to have about 1/4 to 1/2 inch loadspace extending beyond the length of my T.

If you want to talk more openly, please feel free to PM me or email me.
