I'm not sure if your referring to Aliens or The Green Goblin here :)

but I learnt in science that there are 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 planets in our KNOWN universe. That's one with twenty one zeros after it.

Are we the only life forms in that number of planets? I highly doubt it :)

I believe in Father Christmas :)

Like, hey man, how can we know if even we exist?

Maybe we're all the fevered cheese dreams of some Loch Ness monster who spent the night with Bigfoot on absinthe?

Maybe the little green men are playing their version of the Sims and we're all a bunch of remote controlled simulacra who have been programmed to think of ourselves as real?

Maybe there is such a thing as the tooth fairy, compassionate conservatism and decent, honest politicians who truly believe in democratic accountability?

Maybe Microsoft and Apple can just, like, get along.

Maybe I will drink less, exercise more and like my day job?

Maybe I'll stop being a crotchety cynic?

Maybe I'll get on with what I'm supposed to be doing now?

None of it's very likely is it?

When I lived in the US, there was this man (well respected) and he some other people went into the woods in Seatlle a couple times.. near mount rainier.. and they spotted what they assume was "big foot" a couple of times..

After Another night in de woods, sleeping in their tents, the woke up in the middle of the nights, and something that sounded like nothing they heard before was strolling through their camp.. and it smelled awefull..

the next morning, they found some hair, on some bushes.. near the camp.. and it also looked like nothing they had seen before..

My father also knew these guys, and they gave him some of the hair sample.. My father has some connections with a dutch science laboratory place.. and they examined the hair..
we were all very excited to hear what the results would be:
Dog hair 8)

Another interesting thing are air photo's of mount ararat..
These same people in the US, strongly believe the Ark of Noah once stranded their.. but the Turkish government won't allow anyone to go up there, or any survallience (mind my spelling, im dutch) plane's to go over the mountain and make pictures.
but in the past pictures have been made:)

read more about it at

I also believe in mythical creatures like that.. but as said before.. its probably the same as people in the past talking about elephants..

We can't KNOW that we exist as we believe we do - i.e. as humans. Of course we can't. We're not in a position to judge the likelihood of it either and to think that we are is just absurd.

"Thoughts are being thunk", as Bertrand Russell put it, is all we can really say of our own existence.

Loch Ness, Big Foot, the footage of the alien autopsy (sp?)

Yeh, that's all fake. Anybody seen Danny Wallace's Hoax Files?

I strongly recommend "Unweaving the Rainbow" by Richard Dawkins, which responds to Keats's claim that Newton had destroyed the beauty and poetry of rainbows by explaining them. It's like a refreshing breeze of reason, pointing out just how awe-inspiring the world ACTUALLY is, and how staggeringly lucky we are to be alive in it at all. There's a great chapter on probability, too, which touches on supposed psychic power and/or trickery. A great read.

Mr Browing if you have ever been to Derbyshire you will know that they are actually pictures of the locals. :D I joke I joke there are some positves about Derbyshire like the train line to London.

Anyway Arent these pictures just a mordern version of the fairys at the bottom of garden that baffled men of science? And Lindz see if you can track down the book about Folklaw and customs of the British isles it explains why folk belive certian things around the country.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

I once went to a lecture about how rainbows work. It was a truly awe inspiring evening. I now know why you see a second rainbow mirroring the first, what Alexander's Dark Band is, the angles it all works at. Brilliant.

Before that, I was one of those people who thought: "A rainbow. Yeah, pretty." Now I know the hows and the whys, and it's definitely increased the overall wow factor.

The Fairies were made by Bizarrist Dan Baines (Lebanon Circle) and were a major coo about a year back... I couldn't find the web site that he had set up but he do the whole deal as a deliberate hoax... in that he is an Forensic's Expert and legit artist it's easy to see how he was able to make them so realistic.

If you are a bizarrist at heart and have the desire to make a serious investment into your arsenal, then you might want to take a look at Dan's offerings. I'll warn you, have a hefty wallet at the ready and don't beat around the bush, he only makes stuff on a limited run (generally less than 24 of any one item) e.g. if you get something from him you're part of a rather exclusive club world wide.

I'm presenting Dan's stuff here in the states in that few know of him and we have a HUGE Bizarrist community in the region... well, we are the seat of the ICBM and elements of the Shadow Network after all.

Check it out... http://www.lebanoncircle.co.uk/
