Daryl Easton is a very accomplished magician, card man, full of energy, and very creative. He is also a great teacher and great guy. I've been to several of his lectures, and they have always been tremendous and full of great moves and ideas. I own most of the effects he markets and use them regularly. Daryl has been good about answering questions I"ve put to him through his website email contact address too. He sometimes takes a bit of time to answer because he is on the road, but has always been very helpful when I had a question and was having a problem. His complete encycolpedia of card sleights is a must have reference for any serious card magician. His revelations helped me turn 3 card tricks into literally hundreds of card tricks. An exceptional close up magician and teacher all round.

hey. i recently went to the mauny magic convention in batavia ny. i had the pleasure of actually meeting daryl in person.
First off let me say that he is a really nice guy!. he let me take a picture with him which is kind of nice considering you would expect a big shot like him to be a jerk. however this is not the case. i bought his 3 fly3 dvd and i love it. i is indeed what magic is all about

Daryl's a great guy and performer.... I've seen him do the Full Monte..

I think the guy is amazing, he makes everything look so effortless and easy (which can be annoying sometimes). But he has so much love for magic which is infectious.

he is a realy nice guy. i recently bought his 3 fly3 dvd. realy nice trick. anyway. i met him at the mawny magic convention in batavia ny. he is truly what magic is about. he teaches confidently, and respectfully. i got the honor of having a picture with him too. again Really nice guy

A great teacher

1.Gives complete details about the move
2. Adds quick notes to every move
3. Reinforces the point that practice is important after every move.
4. Always mentions, his way of doing shuffles and his routine with that move.

I really love him watching him and learning from him, he makes every move so invisible that even magicians can't keep a track of what he is doing. May be thats a reason he is called "The Magicians Magician"

Hope to learn a lot of things from his DVDs soon.
And wish someday I get a chance to meet him personally.

I think Daryl is great. My avatar is a small tribute to him. Just compare his showmanship against Blaine's or Angels's. They don't stand a chance! I can warmly recommend Daryls Encyclopedia of card tricks (8 volumes) for anyone interested, Daryl's ACR, or the full monty (three card monte). BTW, anyone here made the gaff deck used in his ACR for the grand finale? Is it difficult or you just need a lot of patience?

As i wrote in my intro i saw Daryl and Ammar (read the intro.. link below) all those years ago and he performed "signed card to ceiling" which is actually the ONLY trick i remember from the occation.

Since then i have acuired the rope magic dvd's, which are great as well as Does the full monty and ambitious card dvd. These dvd'S ARE REAL QUALITY PRODUCTIONS AS WELL compared to the fast-food dodgy lightning and ill thought through rubbish-patter we have to go through with the "born to perform" entourage.

The only criticism I would ever muster against him is the delivery feels dated sometimes - then again, they have been around for a while now..

Ive made the gimmick for the ACR final. Its not difficult, just use a ruler to measure and a sharp craft knife. Theres no exact measurements, just copy as he shows you approximatly. Then stick the deck together

Thanks lozey. It actually doesn't look too difficult just that you need a lot of patience in making it. The reactions on the finale with this gimmick must be great, right?

well..ish IMHO. I practiced with the gimmick, but thought it looked .....well gimmick-y since some of the deck is hidden when he puts rope around it. I think if i was going to perform it, Id finish by letting the spec cut the deck, put the card back and (me) completeing the cut, then use a pass. If i wanted to prove the deck was contained id use the one where you wrap the deck in a napkin and it goes into a spectators pocket. The card is so ambitious it doesnt just jump to the top but all the way through the napkin!
