There's a small magic shop whose name I forgot. The guys there are pompous and arrogant, and none of the items their selling are exclusive in any way, so I don't think it's worth it. There's a small museum of magic (mostly about Robert Houdin) that has a small magic show every half hour. It's a decent show and all, but paris doesn't seem like the best place to enjoy magic.

Currently Reading "House of Mystery" (Abbott, Teller), Tarbell, Everything I can on busking

Hey, they're French  . Anyway, I think you should be able to find some good magic shops there just by looking in a phonebook. It's a major international city and they would have pretty much anybody would look for.

It looks like the little British flag in the upper right hand corner might translate the page. Does anyone know what "drapeau" means?

Along similar lines to the original post, I wonder if any of you fine chaps might know of a modelling balloon supplier in france as I'm about to emigrate to the cote d'azure and do have an uncontrollable latex craving... I normally pay about £3.50 for a bag of Qualatex in the uk and if push comes to shove I can get them posted from here, but it does seem a wee bit crazy!

It's only for the pastiche you understand and even that's purely for medicinal purposes... hic!
