david blaine switch cards

Here is the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRNilP3duVU

I know how to do the entire trick, but I'm doing one of the parts too slow. When he takes the card out of the guys hand and then switches a different card, what is he doing with the deck to make the switch so clean. The best I can do takes about half a second. If you arn't paying attention I get away with it, but if you're really trying to figure it out, it's easy to see.

I just slide the card in the bottom of the deck and slide a card off the top with my thumb, but it's kind of slow. Is that all there is to it, or do I just need some practice?

Sinbin.
If you follow the link, you'll see where he learned it. It even says "EXPOSE" in all capitol letters.

Buy the trick if you want all the little helpful hints.

Errm - yeah,

We don't actually give workings of tricks away here, you know.

If you need to learn how this is done, check Ellusionist (I think it's their vid) for 2 Card Monte - AND BUY IT!!

This trick is also one of the four effects on Oz Pearlman's Born to Perform DVD. Probably the easiest one on there actually, it was the first one that I started doing off that DVD.

wat u wanna do is to slide the top card off slightly then put the card ur holding on top square with the rest of the deck and quickly but smoothly slide the stuck out card out from the deck. with some practice it will look like just a casual drop of the arms.

You should edit your post. Exposure, no matter how illiterate the person exposing is, is exposure. You're not giving any advice, you're just giving away the method.

Quite frankly, I thought his card handling was appaling. I've never seen such a bad DL.
