Hi not only am I new here Im also new to magic. I work as a facepainter and craft worker but would love to add some magic next year (I have an irrational fear of balloons so balloon modelling is out of the question :lol::lol: )

As a teen I used to study david blane videos and copy his tricks. Recently when out and about I have seen numerous kids oriented magic acts and its so nice to see the kiddies faces light up during a show. I can do 2 or 3 mind reading tricks (which are great for freaking people out in bars  )and would love to discover more about that type of magic too.

Im looking for tips on getting into the profession to do more kids oriented magic and have been told that this is the place to come to learn more than just pulling a white rabbit from a hat  So any advice is well received!

Welcome to the forum. Kids magic is all quite flashy and silky. I don't think you can go far wrong that start with Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic. It's got all the sponge, balls, cups, rope, rabbits and stuff that you'll be after. Feel free to ask questions, but make sure you've had a good old search through and read the stickies.

Good luck. Children's magic scares the hell out me.

Hi and welcome to TM

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

thanks for the welcome!

I will take that first tip and have a good look through the boards.

Im after quite silly magic pulling bananas from kids ears, magicing reems of flags from a pocket etc really daft and silly stuff really, the kind of magic you can do while walking around IYKWIM Wilson's Complete Course in Magic is something I will def look into.

Thanks agian for the warm welcome!
