I know, it's like some wild west movie, you'd think nowadays they'd be able to build dams that were up to all weather...! We like doing this in Britain - same with our forests, or our rail tracks that warp and bend when we have a hot day. Forward thinking... not out strong point.

You always get some idiot trying to drive through 10 foot of water dont you? Natural selection smart people see there car is only 5 foot tall and the water is 10 and think nope not today.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

Walked through the Wicker earlier (shown on BBC news alot with traffic lights toppling over), hardly know it'd been flooded as the cleanup there has been tremendous and the water has completely drained. Unfortunately the shops aren't fairing so well, lots of damaged stuff and mud being shoveled out. My local (Gardeners Rest) got absolutely trashed, the water was over the top of the billiards table! A large proportion of Sheffield's real ale pubs (The Kelham Island, Fat Cat, Harlequin and more) and The Sheffield Brewery Company were flooded out and are saying it may be months before they open again... :(

'fraid so old bean... Which means that those of you who enjoy a nice bottle of Pale Rider or Easy Rider made at the small brewery behind it (The Kelham Island Brewery) may find it difficult to get for a while...
