Summer Is Here!

Postby Michael Kras » Jun 28th, '07, 00:25

Finally! We are back to a glorious time of Jumbo Freezies and baking hot sun. Ahh.. the joys of Summer.

Does anyone have and magical summer plans? Mine are attending Sorcerers Safari magic camp (The world's best, we have Wayne Houchin coming this year!) and seeing a local lecture by My magic idol, Jay Sankey! And of course, I will hit the streets to perform Interlace and Moving Violation.

Let's here your plans!

Im looking forward to all the barbecues that we tend to have over the summer, and performing magic at them! Im also participating in a charity radio thing called 'Run For Home' on July 22nd so im really looking forward to that!

Enjoy that thing with WH. He's a really great guy and you'll learn a lot from him!

Mike... I am guessing you are attending camp as a TEACHER/LECTURER, being as you're a professional and all...

I bloody hate summer....apart from all the beautiful women come out of their hibernation.
Too many happy people commenting on how nice the weather is and basking in the sun. I like to remind them of melanoma.

Summer? Yuk! I'm an autumn and winter kind of guy. I love Halloween and the smell of burning leaves on the breeze. I also love Christmas and really enjoy getting snowed in (which where I live happens at least once a year).

Summer is all hay fever, flies, midges, and grass that needs mowing. And I can't wear my leather overcoat. Bah.

Summer's here ....... really ?? You could have fooled me with all this c*** (not the best) weather we've been having  .

Anyway, I guess now that summer's officially here, I'll be in the pub Friday and Saturday nights getting wasted  ..... oh hang on I do that anyway - but at least now I'll be able to do it sat outside the pub (if this weather ever picks up :? ).

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

I love the summer, weekends lazing on the beach and evenings sitting in a pub garden with a vodka and coke :D

I love summer...

Still time in the evenings for eating outdoors and doing 'weekend' things (mowing lawns, gardening, washing cars, clearing garage etc.)... leaving the weekends free for more exciting tasks!!!

However...

Summer, for me, also brings hayfever, and the fear of being stung by wasps. Also, it brings drunken lager louts out, and litterbugs throwing McDonald bags out of their car windows in our hamlet.

Oh, and add to that the brainwashing poo on the gogglebox, and fact that there's schoolkids around in the daytime, and it's pretty much a sad time as well as a glorious time!

I love the summertime with the BBQ's, light evenings, skinny outfits and most importantly beer gardens.

Of course all this comes at a cost when you have to sit in a boiling office all day trying to cool yourself down my waving sheets of paper in front of yourself. Then I usually have a hangover during the sunny weekdays as I 'have to make the most of the weather while its here'.

Don't even get me started on sunny week days then raining weekends  Or I'll end pulling my soap box out.

Can anybody please help me? I'm having terrible problems controlling my streetmagic- I can't walk down a street without turning into a pub.

And it's got it. Like I have said, presentation is the most important factor of magic for me. So don't say I am not good because I darn well am, especially at Interlace. My presentation is as follows:

Ring is placed into and, and I say "Magicians are often accused of having fast hands. That's not the case. What magicians really have are fast BODIES. You want proof? I just gave it to you." Hand is opened to revea ring is completely gone. "With my fast body, I bent down, and ted your ring to my shoelace without you even noticing. And that is real magic."

TA-DA
So please, don't make fun of my old, crappy YouTube videos anymore.

OK... just to prove, Mike, that you're not thinking things through at your tender age of 14, and you presentations STILL aren't up to scratch, may I just point out the kind of reason WHY...

1. You are FAR to pompous
2. You've not earned enough 'life skills' points yet
3. You're far too inconsistent and full of bulls^%%... in the above quote, you state:
"Magicians are accused of having fast hands. That's not the case".
In a heartbeat, you bend down, and tie your shoelace. BUT WITH WHAT?
FAST HANDS of course. FAST HANDS.

You make this stuff up on the spot, don't you? You dont *really* perform to real people surely???
