I know this has been done to death in some ways on this forum...........(and i have used the search engine) but didnt have much joy..........i dont post huge amounts because a lot of my questions can be answered by having a dig around but im curious about magic clubs/societies in the glasgow area!!!!..........i can sense the groan of folks reading this.....Basically i met a bloke in tam sheperds last week when i was buying richard kaufmans on the pass, he was bout the same age as me (mid 20's) and was really helpful. It got me thinking about how much my magic would improve with a captive audience/people i could share/learn from/with......so if anyone has any advice or can just give me the skinnny on magic societies/clubs in the glasgow area!!!!!?????...........incidently the bloke in the shop gave me a great pass learning tip also.......to use two decks when practicing, cause when you go back to one it feels like your cheating :D :D

I'd recommend the Scottish Conjurers Association (above).

A good second bet would be http://www.paisleymagiccircle.co.uk

(Avoid the Glasgow Magic Circle....)

Most of the clubs have shut down for the summer - the SCA start up in September.
They're a good club - think you'll enjoy it there.

(If you ever check out the Glasgow Magic Circle you'll understand why I don't recommend them).

If you want to get going sooner and don't mind the trip to Edinburgh, the Edinburgh Magic Circle have a lecture by Hayashi on the 13th July.
This guy is phenomenal and well worth the train fair!
PM me if you're interested.

Dave
