...Depends on who you ask

Personally, I think Rosemary clues the coffee with books of elephants, but everyone always disagrees with me

I'll just go and sit in the corner, and wibble quietly, shall I?

.....[wibble]

Spotted yet another thread on the "H" subject so just had to take a look. What a surprise that it was exactly the same content as all the others!!!

I gave a presentation to a magic society last week. About the only place I'll perform stage hypnosis and it caused a lot of debate, especially as I then proceeded to show them exactly how it was done. What surprised me though was that having explained a great deal some were even more confused about the subject than before I started!!! LMAO

Bottom line is that there is an effect which you can call hypnosis if you wish but it is not quite what the man in the street would say hypnosis is and that in turn would be very different to what many stage performers or even therapists would say.

As a psychotherapist or whatever I get called these days (they keep changing my title) - "I have a new pencil, WIBBLE"

I had a gig Friday and after much recent reading on the H subject, I pulled off a beautiful performance with a group of young adults....

I almost scared myself at how good it went especially when the subject seemed reluctant to come out of trance state ...........but all was ok in the end

I use pseudohypnosis aswell, once tried to switch and try "the real thing". Told a girl that her hand was stuck to the table. It worked! I think the main reason it did, was because after the fake hypnosis she just bought in to the fact that what i said was true and WAS going to happen. I also tried a Derren Brown trick with crystals (did it with coins:) that worked aswell. Said some rubbish about coins vibrating like crystals and working against our energyflow. Told my brother to lift a cup.. He did. Then I placed the "crystal" on the top of his hand and told him to try and lift the cup now. Ofcourse he could'nt. Tried the crystal trick several times, and i think it has everything to do with my "pretalk" about the crystals. If people believe it they accept it. But i dont think this goes for all kinds of hypnosis but when you see magicians do it on TV i think it has everything to do with just that.
