I work at Burger King. I know, sad.

But then again, it's not a living when you're only 17.

I'm a handyman at a nursing home/hospice. Moneys not good. Stress not good. They have little money so the handymans department is understaffed. But when you get the letters from the reletives saying how nice their loved ones last days were..It's kinda hard to leave.
To be honest I can't realy afford to work there................

Plus it's no desk job so I can't sit on my bottom practicing card moves in my free hand all day ( bitter and twisted  ) :D

Project management for me, was in new build housing and refurbishment from the client side.

Switched over to working for an organisation planning their office location move, down sizing space, staff and a shift in working practices. It'll keep me busy for a couple of years.

And to think, I studied statistics at uni! :)

Im a bar man at my parents pub, with a bit of arranging of the entertainment on the side (which is usually just me doing a bit of magic while the band that i arranged are playing).

I also work in a petrol station doing the work of a supervisor/manager, but only getting the pay and title of a normal employee.

I occasionally do a bit of overtime for an agency doing everything from machine work to directing lorry drivers to places.

If anybody knows of any jobs going, i have spare time on the odd tuesday and thursday between 9am and 3pm.

I was born with Multiple Personality Disorder. Luckily, they are all me, they just dont always get along...

Software Developer. Mostly Vb6, Vb.net and SQL for the past 4 years (had my share of other languages as well, including 2 years of Cobol !).
Working at Maritime Software right now (but have also worked on Financial and Bank systems software before).
I like my job and it pays good, but unfortunately it's a bit far from where I live (45' using the subway).

I work for the Sci-fi Channel. Well I say work...It mostly consists of me perusing TM, checking out the internet and staring out of the window wishing I could do something far more constructive and enjoyable for a living.
If only I had a obsessional hobby that could be turned in to a career......

Art director for a Graphic and Web Design firm. Quietly working towards the day when I can finish my novel and a screenplay and, hopefully, leave this "career" behind me...

I'm a professional accountant.... how exciting!!
Main areas of work are project/cost and other management accounting.

(Yes actually I am a morbid individual who actually ENJOYS this field! Thankfully I have minimal knowledge in taxation so I don't do any more of that other than file my own tax return, but unfortunately as much as I hate tax that's where the money is for accountants)

Actually Mikey.666 you might want to check out the movie "The Last Casino". It's a Canadian production (and it shows!) and I really don't know how you'll be able to get it but I'm sure you'll find it very interesting. It's about a group of college students who use a counting system at balckjack to win lots of money at the local casinos.

You could also check out the book Bringing Down the House - which is the story of the MIT blackjack team that won millions from Vegas casinos.

Of course...you COULD come to the realization that you're not the first person with that "dream", and, given the fact that Vegas is still going strong, you most certainly won't be the last.

In the end, the house always wins, my friend...

I've always thought that a group of magicians would be the ideal team to come up with a system to win big at the casinos. We have all the skills - the sleights, the imagination & creativity, the ability the think on our feet and appear cool at all times, the psychological subtleties, the memory skills and the cold reading. Surely with that arsenal at our disposal we would be unstopable.

Perhaps we should make this our summer project? It'd be just like Ocean's 11 but probably uglier and without the wardrobe budget.
