i bought expert card technique from borders
i dont know why but i havent really gone through it
and have barely looked at it
i think that this book is kind of intimidating
is there any place that i should start from or should i jsut read straight through it like any normal book?

With most technical sleight of hand books, you want to go one sleight at a time. Jumping from one to another should be fine, but don't read it all through like a novel. If there's a particular sleight that's appealing, practice it the deck in your hands.

Currently Reading "House of Mystery" (Abbott, Teller), Tarbell, Everything I can on busking

Expert card technique isn't really for beginners. I'd start with royal road first then study this book after.

Failing that just start at the beginning of the book and work your way slowly through each chapter.

Can anybody please help me? I'm having terrible problems controlling my streetmagic- I can't walk down a street without turning into a pub.

You really have to have read Royal Road to Card Magic or Card Manipulations before you get into that book. It's a second book. Yes, the text is hard to process some times.

If you have the cash, there are two good routes.

One is to buy RRTCM and then the R Paul Wilson DVD set to go with it, the other is to buy Card College, one volume at a time.

Unless you are already committed to magic, I suggest the RRTCM route.
