Close up magician of the year

Postby Darren6270 » Jul 9th, '07, 13:42

Hi,
We hired a guy for a daughters wedding called Spencer Wood, it was only after the wedding that I found out that he was the Magic Circle close up magician of the year 2007.
He was awesome, being interested in magic I usually know how these guys do a lot of their tricks - coin in a bottle etc etc, but Spencer did a lot of tricks I have never seen before, including fantastic fork bending, a trick turning Micky Mouse dollars into $100 bills, a burning cigarrette into someones jacket that literally had the victim in tears, some great card magic involving a blank deck, the list goes on.
I thoroughly recommend him.
Has anybody else seen him, or can tell me how he does these tricks :-)

I have never seen him perform, but if he won the circle close up competition, he isn't going to suck. That I can tell you.

As for asking how he does the effects. No sorry. That isn't what talk magic is about, but I can tell you they are all classic magician tricks so i am not surprised you were impressed.

As classic as they may be though it still takes a good magician to make the enertaining.

I am glad he went down well at the wedding.

I read a recent review of his close up competition performance and it was certainly a great review. In particular, he received rave reviews from the judges for his presentation.

A name to watch out for perhaps?

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Haven't heard of him, but sounds like we are all going to... and soon!
