Hurrah, my first ever forum

Postby infrared » Jul 15th, '07, 23:13

After perusing a few different threads here I have to say that I've enjoyed the sense of humour and desire to support us new magicians, so much so that, as the subject suggests, I've joined my first forum. I work using the outdoors as a tool to help people to develop in one way or another and, having been introduced to card magic by a friend's recommendation of RRTCM, have started to amaze them as well. I know that I've only just started and I already have a 'performance' of sorts.

I am also aware of the learning process, whatever it is that we are learning and having support from mentors is such an important aspect of that. I have a good feeling that I may find that here. (I also like the way that people are sin-binned. Sometimes it must feel like I do when someone drives too close)

So, now I have to decide on an avatar that's cool, funky and not too cheesy.

Best wishes to all

DT

Hi and welcome to TM

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

Thanks everyone for your welcome and for taking the time to reply. Just did my first force, not sure what it's called but it involved a glimpse and waterfall shuffle, spectator cut, then some conversation and misdirection and force the card. Ha, it totally worked. I feel a bit like I've scrambled through a small cave entrance and emerged in a huge cavern with glow worms and maybe a hint of fairies.

Sorry if I'm enthusing too much but I'm hoping that here is where I can truely share these moments. I am thinking that most of you here have been in a similar position. I'll look for a thread and if there isn't one, I'll start one.

Hope you're all good
