I was planning on buying pen thru coin and would like to know a bit more about it. Any help will be appreciated.

Dont know about thru coin, but i have a thru bank note pen?
Got mine from Mike Danatas magic studio in boscombe.

this could be either one of two things.... pen through coin aka cig through coin OR pen through banknote

both use entirely different gimmicks... maybe if you let us know where you saw it we could help you out?

would the cig thru banknote work with a coin neway?
I mean it isnt an ubber PK "aardvark" is it.

i suppose pen through banknote could work with a coin BUT with a banknote you can visibly "tear" the pen out of it... think this may be a little difficult with a coin

... but you will need to use a new 2p for it. You will need to p*** the t** and reattach it under cover of hand. I usally use both hands and pretened it very hard to do. Hope that did'nt tip the gaff. But I have just found out that I can't find me pen, I just have the *** bit left

If you really want to do pen thru coin buy Eddie Gibson's gimmicked £1 coin. You can use PENetration (pen thru banknote) and you use a 1p or a 2p (a 'copper' coin) but requires a bit of finesse to carry it off, much easier to buy Eddie Gibson's cig thru coin, as for cig, read anything of that diameter and fairly solid, a rolled up fiver goes thru the coin just as effectively - finding a smoker these days is like looking for hobby horse s**t
so if you want to do both, my advice is to buy both, however you can do pen thru coin if you buy PENetration or similiar but only with copper coins - you can figure out why probably.

Check out the ammar book for a lovely handling of pencil through coin. There is a problem of pound coins having different backs (tails). But if you make the excuse of waisting time getting people to trust you with their pounds, so using your own pound, and handing out the coin for inspection afterwards, you will be ok using your own pound. Oh and I find ripping the eraser off the end makes it nice and clean.
