Heya guys. Quick question, I want it to look as though i can make balls of fire appear from my hands, at an affordable price. I'm wondering, do you think it is possible to have a fire TT and palm a screwed up piece of flash paper, light it and chuck it, and it look like a fire ball?

or can any more of you offer some good advice on "budget" fire?

cheers guys!

Love

Chris

http://www.penguinmagic.com/product.php?ID=1522

Theres something there but out of stock, it was instock like last week and I think it was new last week too.

There is Pyro Maniac, but I can only see places in the USA that sell it now.

Fire from palms, from magicbox.uk.com, or Omega Flame aswel.

Or how bout flashers. Flash guns? Magicshop.co.uk look at their firesection. But the guns cost alot.

Go to FlashMagic, or contact Stephen!

Hope that helps. I been looking at alot of fire items too ^^

so if i brought a flasher on a pull, with some flash cotton, do you feel that this would create the desired effect?

I only have one flasher, and thats the thumb thing, which I don't personally like. But what you said could work. But you can only "throw fireballs" once then, right? Because you'd have to load it again.

Is this for close up? Have you looked at those Flash Guns?

But what you said would work I think. Contact Stephenmagic [I think], his a flasher ;)

Well if you know how to produce a lit match you could always do that with flash paper palmed and then just light it and then quickly throw it at the spectator .

Or not at the spectator .........

finger flashers are reasonably inexpensive. you should be able to find one for a tenner.
but yes, you can do it with a TT and some flash cotton (i would reccommend), i do this for putting out cigarettes, just a little bit extra on the standard cig end TT vanish. you just load it into your palm, drop your cig end in, and you get a little ball of fire come out of your hand. by moving your hand away you can create the illusion that it is being somewhat thrown; this does of course take an amount of practise, if you don't smoke (don't smoke) then practise with matches for the fire bit.

Fire balls

Postby artinct » Jan 15th, '07, 19:14

From alt.magic.secrets; post by Mitch Leary
Cut the head off of a paper match and put
a little glue on one side. Glue this to a balled up piece of flash
paper. This match head must not be covered by the flash paper, just
glued to it. Now, here's the tricks part. Lay the flash paper onto a
matchbook striker so the match is touching striker. You run the match
along the striker as you toss the flash paper away from you. The match
head lights and ignites the ball of flash paper resulting in a kind of
mini-meteor ball. With practice this can be done with ONE HAND; the
thumb flicks the ball off the matchbook and into the air out in front
of you as it ignites.
