I saw this trick once..

The magi takes a card from the top of the deck and shows it to the spectator. He then takes the card and pushes it into the side about half way down so that a bit of the card sticks out either side. He then takes the other side of the card and pulls it through the pack and shows it to the audience.. and yep it's no longer the card he pushed into the packs middle originally.

What is this trick and how where can I get some instructions on doing it..

this can be easily achieved by using simple sleights and a little imagination. Buy one of the following books.. "royal road to card magic", "expert at the card table", "card manipulations" or maybe even fork out for "Daryls ambitious card" than you'll have more than enough to practice!
