Has anyone purchased from Fabrice Delaure??

Postby chewie » Apr 18th, '07, 07:46

Morning

A friend of mine has recently tried to purchase a micro reader from Fabrice but has had some trouble getting it. He ordered it two months ago for a show he is doing this weekend and was promised it would be here in time. Despite numerous emails ( last count was nearing the 200 hundred mark!), phone calls and promises from Fabrice that it had been delayed due to various reasons and had been posted it still hasnt arrived.
I was just wondering if any one else out there has had any problems when ordering items from him or if this is an isolated and genuine issue??

(Text replaced by Mods - situation apparently still unresolved and awaiting supplier's action/reassurances.)

I have had similar problems, but before I put in my two pence worth I will offer this out to the moderators, How do you feel about members leaving bad reviews for a product and/or supplier?

Thanks :D

ok, I've checked this with one of the mods and he has said that it should be fine putting my point of view across.

An item was ordered over 2 months ago which I wanted for my stage show (April 22nd) I was promised it would be with me within 2 weeks from order, after 1 month I started messaging him and got nothing. After 6 weeks he emailed promising it would be with me within 1 week (so should be a week before my show!) he now says he posted it but it has been lost in transit!

I have asked for tracking numbers of the postage but he is now not answering me again!

I am now going to go and see my bank and see what protection I have against him (I paid with a debit card)

What I really don't want to happen is for him to take more money off of other people and do the same.

As for me I'll have to try taking him to court, I think I've given him enough chances really?

Paul

My origianl message seems to have been removed by the MODS. (Note from Mods: Now replaced as promised)

Needless to say despite over 2000(yes 2000 thats not a mistake!) emails and several phone calls the clip board ordered in february still has not arrived!

Hi Chewie - welcome to TM!

I'd guess that your original post was possibly removed, due to the fact that - as a very first post, from a new member - it may have been seen as you being somebody who simply joined-up to vent your thoughts/feelings about a negative expwerience with this supplier.

I'm sure that, had you already been an established member, there wouldn't have been an issue.

As has been pointed out above, this kind of posting can be seen as contentious, and it really would have been best for you to check things out with a Mod first, before using your very first post to address an issue such as this.

I hope you enjoy your stay on the boards, and that everything gets sorted for you :D

I removed Chewie's post earlier today as contact had been made in respect of it and making certain objections. I've made further enquiries and received more information but, at the time of writing, I'm sorry to say that both the removed query and the one from MagicPaul are apparently still unresolved - items ordered and paid for but not received. The company involved have been advised of this state of affairs and it's now up to them to make direct contact with both the members above. I await news from both that the issues have been fully resolved. The text of the original message hasn't been deleted, just moved out of sight. During the course of tomorrow, it will go back again unless, of course, the firm concerned assure us all that they have dealt with the problems in the meantime when the whole thread can disappear if thought appropriate. (Edit 20/7/07: Chewie's text now replaced).

As this could involve litigation, perhaps we could continue to keep any comments at a very sensible and helpful level?

Please understand that I do not want to annoy people on here - and chewie, please do use other parts of this forum. I personally believe it's a great place to chat with other lovers of magic and could be very useful to you!

To everyone else, I will try to sort out my problem with the company involved but would be interested in anyone else that may have had a problem.

Due to the nature of this maybe a PM would be more appropriate? or if the mods want everything to be transparent could they please let me know.

Many thanks

According to the Fabrice DeLaure website under 'Support':

All our products have piece and handmade two-year guarantee.

90% of all problems find a solution by sending us an e-mail or giving us a phone call. It is often batteries problem or misunderstanding of the instruction booklet. Please do not send us the product back WITHOUT our agreement.

In most cases, all problems are solved within 72 hours.

Thank you for that, Chewie's e-mail address is available in his posts and I'm sure he will be able to advise again the proper names dates, order details etc. Magic Paul's query was probably later than that and, again, I'm sure he will be very happy to supply more information to help you trace the missing shipment.

As mentioned before I bought this with a friend of mine called Mr Matthew Stirling (matt@stirlingstunts.fsnet.co.uk) Why have you not mentioned anything about that? It was ordered back in Jan/Feb and we have had NO delivery, NO tracking number and NO INFORMATION AT ALL!

It should have been delivered to an address in Ruislip, England. (do you need the full address yet again or will you be able to find it in your ordering system?

This piece of kit NOT turning up really caused a problem for a show I was doing in April and I think your customer services are ridiculous. I hope this can be sorted out, please feel free to PM me or answer on this thread.

Paul

PS. I really hope that all of your deliveries have some kind of tracking numbers especially at the prices you charge.

Just an update, Fabrice have contacted Matt (who made the original purchase) and among other things have said that it will be all worked out by Friday.

Fingers crossed.

I will leave this thread until the weekend then, and thank you again to all who have contacted me.

Hi Folks

I have similar problems. I've ordered the Psychic Clipboard 2 on April 30, 2007, from Fabrice Delaure and had to send him the money in advance. He told me that it will take about 6 - 8 weeks for delivery. Unfortunately I haven't got anything so far and Fabrice is not answering emails anymore. Does anybody has any advise what to do? Or how long did you folks have to wait for the delivery?

Magically
Stefanie

I strongly object to my post above being deleted. It was relevant to the discussion about suppliers who do not fulfill their obligations to their customers (For whatever reason). If all posts that drifted off the subject were deleted most of the posts in the forum would disappear.
Why not start a seperate post some would say, well Stevebo did just that, and after about 10 posts the whole thread was deleted.
It will be interesting to see how long this post lasts before Big Brother sees it !
