Brief history - I used to be extremely keen on close up magic (think Paul Daniels, prime time Sat night tv - impressionable 11 yr old)
Became a professional mobile DJ when I was 18 and brought with it a close up magic cabaret ideal for weddings etc - it gave me the edge.
Was working at a university one night and I saw mindreader at work, he was so good that I was hooked. I had a long chat with him afterwards and he guided me onto the path I am now taking - pure mentalism, no sleights (ok, well maybe a couple
)
I have spend the last 5 years building material to take out on the road and I started performing earlier this year - and I totally love it!
I will never get to the standards of Derren Brown (the guy is a genius), but I certainly draw inspiration from his style and methods.
I adore close up magic, but Mentalism has me hooked!
