I GOT IT !!!

Postby MagicIain » Mar 25th, '04, 10:39

Just to let you guys know, I went to the audition (see 'Audition Piece' under Support and Tips) and I got the job!

Thanks for all your help guys. I took an ID, a standard bike deck, and the Professor's nightmare (with some story about worms I had made up). She was really impressed and I even taught her a couple new balloon animals.

They're actually looking to expand their product range into parties for slightly older children, concentrating on a bit more 'sleight' magic rather than prop-based self-working magic aimed at pre-school.

They're devising a script for me and are looking to buy in some equipment to use!

I suggested sponges, a TT, appearing/vanishing wand and some giant size cards.

Lets see what they come up with!!!

well done.. does this mean you have to change your profile to working pro?...

I don't know when i start - they're writing the show at the moment, and looking to buy in/source some props for me to use.

I could change profile to working pro, but I don't consider myself Pro just yet! We'll see how it goes.

I'll keep you all posted (no pun intended!)

Well done Zack.

By the way professional really only means it's what you do for a living.

Just call yourself a Magician - that'll do fine! And well done on the achievement - nice to know you're on the road to fame, glory and success. Let us know when the first performance takes place and we'll all send encouraging vibes in your direction!

so nobody has told you that our invoice is in the post then? Oooops!

Nah, what we want is to be able to point to folks who are successful and say, 'I knew him when he was poor'. And also get free tickets to your shows. (And if there are any groupies surplus to requirements...... )
