no tear kids banner

Postby magicdiscoman » Mar 24th, '04, 17:51

I'm not going to do a full review as its going back for a refund / item swap.

the idea is sound and is a great improvment on past handling's as all the letters are kept tougether very neetly indeead and the final banner production is also desceptive at least in the video demo.

now my one and only gripe.

its made of paper with a light plastic coat on it, not of some none tear material which is in abundance thease days, consequently mine tore on the first attempt to reveal.

had this item been made of no tear material then it would be a sure fire winner as the routines are well thought out and explained simply.

so there room for improvment but only when considering materials for manufacture.

you will have the same problem with the no tear news paper as well.

so i guess its back to the three sides cloth and fabrick letters for me, my wife used to do the sewing for them so I'm not sure how I'm going to get around that :?: .

I've used mine at least 20 times with no problems so far.

I found that i had to open and then refold the banner quite a few times to make the appearance smooth when i first got it.

Even now after a years usage I still open and close it before a show so I'm sure it will open without ripping. Having it packed up and folded for a while and then performing it can lead to rips ( i learned the hard way)

Sounds like you were unlucky magicdiscoman :(

This is a great effect - i love the way you can get some of the audience to participate holding the letters spelling things like "Hippy Barthday" etc. If you do buy it - take your time and be sure it's well worn in before performing
