Yes, Bicycles are the norm in the US, but I'm not sure about the bunch of other countries, maybe Canada but I'm not sure where else.
I think because there is no normal choice of cards in the UK it allows us to use any type of cards (well apart from the Ellusionist custom ones!) without them saying ' they're not normal.' However obviously people will complain that a deck is gaffed.
Personally I like Tally Ho Circle Backs over Fan Backs, I think Fan Backs seem abit girly!
I can honesty say no laymen from where I come from (Canada) would notice what brand of cards I am using or whether or not they where different from the "norm". They might notice them if they were black tigers or vipers or something like that, but between tallys and bikes they definitely wouldn't. I mean lets get real, when a laymen buys a deck of cards, do you think they care what brand they are or what kind of finish is on them? Nope.
