hey man,
I havn't tried it and I don't know if this is going to help. But I guess it depends on what sort of act your going to do. If its a kids party (shudder) it would probably go down pretty well because of its visual nature. But If it was more of an adults shindig I would think its a bit cheesey and 'oldskool'. Maybe to music it would be good?

Just realised I've just been rambling,

Ben

I saw it done by a cabaret act last year at the holiday park i worked on. It was really visual, and the magician did perform it to music - it was a classical piece which started kinda scary then as soon as he started to fan, the music really 'chilled out' to good effect.

Suppose there's not much else you can do with it really.

I have done it for years, and
I have been doing the effect for years, using a method i developed myself, in where you start and finish clean..
I will have to look at the Einhorn book to see what method he tips.
Usualy i use it as an opener effect, however, i have used it at the end of my act at christmas time, where i get the whole audience to sing White christmas as i do it.
It goes down very well indeed !
