Hello all.
Typical. Now I don’t know what to say.
Ok then, I’m 29 and I live in Newcastle. I got into magic by accident, by walking into a magic shop to buy a pack of cards for a ‘memory trick’ (I’m easily pleased). The guy behind the counter fanned a deck, perfectly, to show me the back design. That was it. I needed to be able to do that. The memory trick was instantly forgotten and the Royal Road was mine.
I’ve been lurking on this forum for a long time and I have found it invaluable. And I have just had the inspiration to write; I finally took the plunge and did my first paid gig. Good grief I had no idea that 9 year olds were so intimidating. My first proper lesson in ‘angles’ I think, especially the bit when two of the little darlings were sat on the floor directly under my hands for the final move of my ACR.
Anyway I’m waffling. Looking forward to joining in.
Mark.
