Apparantly he died yesterday afternoon of a heart attack. It's very sad that we have lost this comedy genius at just 67. I seriosly can't believe it I only see him live earlier this year and he was as hilarious as ever. Condolonces to his family.

He was a very funny guy. Such a shame we have lost a good comedian there.

I was never really a great fan of his, but still very sad.

The last of the old school blue comics.

Sadly missed.

I am one of the few owners of the CD 'Mike Reid Sings', so you can probably gather that I was (am) a fan.
Frank Butcher is by far the best character to inhabit Eastenders. Someone that most people would like to have as their old man. Diamond geezer.

When I heard this yesterday, I *hoped* they meant the DJ.

Unfortunately, it was our man.

"TRIFFIC" bloke, great comedian, what a loss.

I thought he was very, very funny! All that springs to mind is "Walllappp" and "Turn it in!!!!" A very clever comedian.

Didn't he also sing "There once was an ugly duckling" too?
edited in: He did and apparently it got to number 10 in the charts too!! :)

best

I wasn't sure at first when I heard and wonder which Mike Reid (Read) is was. Didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Then I found out and cried.

Indeed... the tale I caught the end of was "Mike Reid was taken suddenly by a heart attack only days after being given a clean bill of health. He will be sadly missed".

It was kind of ambiguous.

And when I said I had *hoped* it was the OTHER Mike Reid, I didn't mean I wish he was brown bread. Not at all. I just *hoped* it wasn't the Hackney fella!

A cockney hero. Not to many cockneys around now. I used Turn it in. In my mental photogrpahy routine : http://talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic16150.php& ... hotography

A great man. His stand up show was awesome. A proper comic, who had great timming.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.
