Welcome to TM, you're not on your own with those thoughts, in fact you'll see many threads here discussing this and other aspects adversely affecting magic, certainly in the UK. The only positive way through this is to do the very best magic you can, with plenty of innovation and every ounce of your skill focussed on entertaining, amaing and baffling the spectators.

How do you make that step from concept/prototype to performance?

I look forward to your replies.

Trade shows are a good way to use illusions, this is even more true if you can custom it to fit the customer you are performing for. As for the second question you should speak to Craig Browning on here, he is the real expert on that kind of thing.

what i meant was many company's like their logo on an effect. For example imagine doing crystal casket and when the girl appears she is wearing a t-shirt with the company logo on.

How about places like car launches, any place that has space and is launchin a new product. Or say, vanish a PC for a computer company
