Magic Reference in Transformers

Woo! Just been to see the new transformers film and one of the characters was called Banachek! Random I know, but still.

Did anyone else spot anything magic related?

yeah, there were these big robots things, and somehow they changed from robots into cars and planes and stuff! I reckon they used a combination of mirrors and IT

I did notice the Banachek thing... wanted to excitedly tell everyone I was with but realised they wouldn't give a monkeys!

Nothing else particularly, although Megan Fox was fairly "bewitching" - though her acting left something to be desired! I loved that line of the main character...

"Why are you here then?"
"I bought a car. Turned out to be an alien robot... Who knew."

dont forget, Banachek was the name of a police type character in the 70s i believe...george peppard if memory serves...but it was spelt "Banacek", but pronounced the same...

Same, and I was there with friends, who know about Banachek, because of me. I dont think they cared much when I showed them, even if they did enjoy the trick. They also just told me to shut up.

I also think the cube, when bumblebee touches it, was an extremely good variation of the Gozinta Boxes, but a slightly more visual version :?

I have seen the movie 3 times already and never noticed that...

Which character are you talking about? Not a Transformer?

I saw it... the movie was pretty good. Nothing brilliant by any stretch though.

Banachek was that pretentious Sector Seven guy right?

There was also a Banachek mention in one of the older Simpsons episodes... part of a spell in a Tree House of Horror.

*EDIT: Apologies to Lord Freddie for my usage of the word 'movie' there *

Blimey... is it really that good that you'd pay to go see this 3 times?

I've got to say, I only went cos some of my friends dragged me along - but it is very good. There are some boring bits in it - but not so bad you notice.
