What do you do with your old cards?

Postby infrared » Aug 10th, '07, 19:14

I'm loathe to throw them away, as they are still nice cards but I already have 6 used decks and would like to see them put to good use. Any ideas?

I think this has been talked about before but i either use them for practise, give them away to an OAP home so they can play cards, or even make a little gimmick with them.

I usually keep them, because they're good to have if you need any double cards in a trick or something like that..

Use them to practise things like torn and restored card and mercury card fold and other such things which ruins cards.

You make a joke, but its me and the mrs' 2 Year anniversary soon (was on the 9th for people who care) and she took a deck of red bee's (casino back) a Tiger deck (red pips) and a ghost deck (some of which I had used for gimmicks / doubles - but mostly full decks) and made a collage out of them for me :-O

I was amazed (I dont have a piccy of it, cos she is having it framed and mounted, but I can draw a rough piccy of what it looks like...)

will post a pic once its all up on the wall - she is into art and stuff...and for the record, my paint drawn version DOES NOT do it ANY justice, its sooooo much nicer in real life :P

ok, I managed to get a proper piccy - its unframed and not finished at this stage (it was taken whilst she was making it, to see how it looked) - there are more red backed bee's around the edge of the finished version :)

Hope you like it - I certainly do :)
