I often have a pack of cards, usually either Colour Monte or Parade of the Kings, and for a long time now I have carried around something no one else has mentioned - a loop of chain for an Endless Chain routine.

I too carry haunted key because it fits on my key ring, and I too always forget it is there. I also carry the inexpensive version of cig through coin because it fits on my key ring, again I forget it is there, the odd time I do remember I actually push a rolled up dollar through it. I wear a wedding ring so I can use it in a pinch although I do get the evil eye from my wife each time. I used to carry the fancy pen through anything where you can write with the pen but now, sadly somebody is walking around with it and doesn't even know what they have. More often then not I carry colour monte.

I always carry a few packs of cards with me, often with a few gaffs for some of the effects from 2WO Faced I like to perform and I always have my Heirloom wallet (I use it as my everyday wallet), a cig pull in my jacket, some coins in my pocket (coin unique, casino coins, folding coin) and a few other things in my jacket which I alternate from time to time. At the moment it's the BIP book and Beyond ESP2.

Puncture by Alex Linian. I'm always nervous to bring out a deck of cards, i always think it's kind of a weird thing to do, pull out playing cards... but a pen and a coin are all good.

I always have a deck of cards secreted about my person. I've recently started carrying Killer Elite Pro with me, too. With a strong presentation, this trick is just superb.

To be honest, i like to carry a lot of magic props: I’ve managed to compact my all my props so i have to carry almost nothing for the amount of effects i can perform. I like the tricks I carry so much simply because they completely blow laymen’s minds and I can very conveniently carry the required props to perform these effects. Most of the magic props I carry are on my person. Tricks performed with the prop accompany the list, so for a quick read of the props just read the bold type. Here’s a list of what I go out with:

Pocketed Items:

Bicycle Rider Back Deck – For a myriad of card trick effects. Blue.
Two extra cards – Stored with Bicycle Rider Back Deck. Usually a duplicate (red or blue) and a gaff or gimmick card. These gaff cards are interchanged often so I can perform a wide variety of effects and make performing card magic more fun.
Bicycle Rider Back Master’s Edition card box – This box is used for a number of reasons: has a sleek modern design, fits extra gaff cards and it is useful for barcode reveal. If only it had the Three of Spades reveal like the Black Tiger and Ghost Gaff Decks.
Stainless Steel Card Guard – Not only looks fancy, protects cards and box so I don’t have to worry about them. Engraved with a prediction.
Container of magician’s wax – The personalised container is metallic, slim and has a modern jewelers design. It has two compartments: one for hard wax and other for soft. Plenty soft wax for at least 7 CTC performances and hard wax for countless IT effects. Half a standard mobile phone size and thinner.
Third Degree Burn gimmick - No worries when doing physical stuff like dancing with it in my pockets like I would with an ID, also saves me from carrying an ID. Small shim magnets are attached to the centre (magnetic) of the suit plate and stored without worry. Does not hinder the use of TDB gimmick in performance.
Black miniature Sharpie – for writing predictions and signing cards, coins, etc.

On Person:

Two rubber bands – Simply placed around wrist. Mainly for Linked and Card on Ceiling.
Zippo Lighter – Stored in belt buckle and engraved with a prediction. For use in TDB, flourishes, Twilight Zone, and my stigmata variation (can be found here: http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic19901.php&highlight=).
PK Ring – Always around my finger unless I’m planning to get down and dirty. Mostly used for CMP, stopping watches and performing Prohibition at parties and pubs.
Self Tying Shoelace – Setup and ready to perform.

In My Wallet:

Bicycle Mini Deck select cards – Three mini deck cards for Color Monte when I have no cards on me and I want to do a trick. Neatly tucked behind my driving license.
IT wrapped around card – Stored in the back of the two note compartments, on the left side. Placed in a single plastic card holder to stop the IT from displacing. Can perform levitation effects on demand when out. Used mainly for Spun.
Paperclipped setup – Stored in the back of the two note compartments, on the right side. For Paperclipped as part of my ACR routine.
Several business cards – Contact details ready on demand. Also used as substitute for paper for writing predictions, Stigmata version II, etc.
Double stick tape – Placed in between to wax cards that are placed in card compartment. Used for various effects, mainly for certain card tricks and Spun.
In Coin Purse:
Standard Coins – In coin purse. 4 new coins mainly for various vanishes, coin matrix and Mr. Clean Coins Across.
Magnetic Coins – In coin purse. 2 magnetic coins for various penetration effects such as coin through [insert] and CMP.
Closer coins – In coin purse. Coins for The Closer and Spun.
Two rubber bands – In coin purse. Spare backup rubber bands just in case something happens to the ones around my wrist or I forget to bring rubber bands.

All these items may sound like a lot, but believe it or not I’m only carrying the following items in my pocket:
• Mobile phone
• Armani Wallet
• A card guarded deck of cards
• Very small magician’s wax container
• Third Degree Burn gimmick
• A miniature sharpie.

I have also incorporated several tricks into my mobile phone for times when I feel like getting technological. Even if I go out without carrying anything in my pockets, I have always got a ton of tricks that ready to go with just my phone and wallet.

There’s another benefit to carrying the items I do. I am set up and ready for a mentalist effect, where the spectator names any card and I can reveal it in a bizarre way. With all the different predictions and cards I’m carrying in my wallet, I have up to 13 different reveals (25% chance of hit out of 52) if I include the paperclipped card and setup stigmata on both wrists. This way, if I don’t have a deck of cards or TDB, I can have 13 of the most commonly named cards set up as reveals and ready for a mentalist effect.

Good grief man. Don't ever fall in a river. You'd go straight down.

i always bring a deck of cards with me just because i enjoy working them in my free time. if someone sees me working them they will usually ask me to do magic, but its not like i just pull it out to force magic on people(get it...force).

usually bring a few spare cards for a torn card restored effect.

anything else i just ask for or find.

1x Bicycle deck
1x Stripper deck
2x Elastic bands

Even if they are just to fiddle with lol

If I need anything else I'll improvise, roll up some paper to make a ball etc...

I ALWAYS have a TT, coin unique, 2 elastic bands and a small sharpie on my keyring with me. anything else can be borrowed/improvised.

If I'm going out I take a red and blue deck, NFW, a few random cards and my stealth assassin wallet.

Thanks to the genius of Elliot Bresler and Rick Rothbart - I happily carry my Outlaw wallet with Sanctum, and a few slips of paper.

Sometimes I don't even take my trusty bike deck anymore.

This "pack light" stuff is really fun!! :D
