Muscle Pass DVD

Postby Robert_lavigne » Aug 18th, '07, 00:58

Hey I've been stuggling away at the muscle pass for a week now with little progress. I saw Noblezada's Muscle Pass DVD in a store and was wondering if its worth getting.

Well the demo in penguinmagic was OK. I like the "time go back" trick.

Yeah I took a look at the demo but I'm still not sure. I'm somewhat familiar with the technique, but have been making little progress. Has this dvd help anyone out that was in this situation?

How long have you been performing coin magic? I ask because the muscle pass strikes me as being a very advanced coin sleight and if you're fairly new to magic, why are you attempting to learn the muscle pass? I would start at the bottom and work my way up.

However, if I've got it wrong and you turn out to be a professional magician, I take it all back. My humblest apologies.

It is a nice sleight, though, and some of the effects are very impressive to watch (I like the coin through window one). :D

I bought this DVD a couple of weeks ago and it has really helped me, I can get a poker chip 3-4 inches and a Morgan dollar about 2 inches high after about 20 mins practice a day.

his instructions are very easy to follow and the tips he gives have been really useful

there is a section on the DVD showing jay learning the muscle pass with his left hand -it takes him 7 days to get it working well and is a great inspiration to any learner of this difficult sleight

he just helps to give you the belief that it is within your ability to do it!

There's a great tutorial on www.coinvanish.com to get you started learning the muscle pass. I haven't seen this particular dvd but I've heard good things about it and Jay is generally a good teacher, just be prepared to put in the work necessary; the actual technique isn't hard in itself but it will take some time to build up the muscles needed, very much like micro bodybuilding.

hey there bicycle808. Can't say I'm a pro coin magician or anything, I'd consider myself to be an amateur. I've gone through Bobo and have the basics and everything, although there is still much more to learn. However I'm well aware from talking to others, that the muscle pass is somthing that can take months to perfect. I figured that I may as well not put it off. Besides its somthing I can practice well watching tv and even at work so it's not talking away from other practice time.

Hmm... I'm still undecided. If I have an extra 20 dollars sitting around I might just get it.

Noblezada

Hi, Robert --

I don't know if you own any other Noblezada instructional videos, but they're generally pretty good. While I don't have the muscle pass one yet (I'm not quite ready for that one), I do have his "ITBTWC" DVD, and I really like the instruction on it. If the MP vid is as in-depth, it should be a great buy. I'm definitely going to get it after I've worked some more on the simpler Shuttle Passes and things of that nature.

Ian Kendall has a very good tutorial for this move on his Virtual Sessions Year 1. He says it will take you about 3-4 months of practicing to get it down pat so just be prepared to put in the time.
