Tricks Over Instant Messengers

Postby cardshark » Aug 22nd, '07, 17:35

Well, I was wondering, since the internet and immediate communcation has burst onto the scene and is extremely popular, I wonder how many tricks you can perform to someone over an instant messenger such as MSN?

I think that everyone should list tricks that could be performed over instant messengers, so that we could perform tricks in totally different surroundings!
My trick would be one from David Blaines 'Mysterious Stranger', where you find out the card without even seeing the person! Anyone who has the book will know which trick I mean, (I think it's page 50).

Note: please be careful not to expose, but please share the trick descriptions to everyone :D

snap change on the webcam - awsome :D

if you go close enough to the cam, you can end up clean and show empty hands :D

I hear the naked book test can be done over the phone, through text, and Im assuming over MSN..

though msn'ing the naked book test may well get you in trouble with the police if you did the webcam thing too :?

Can perform just about anything on webcam, its a brilliant tool to show off new items and material to other magicians, whereever they might be.

Used to do a lot of jamming via webcam, mainly flourishes, and did Rubik's cube solve races.

If I remember correctly, there's an over the phone poker type effect in Karl Fulves Self Working Mentalism. I've never tried it but I'd guess that'd work over messenger
