Hi Rick

I gather from reading the comments on another forum that there is a slight difference in text in the two versions - something has to be added by hand in the larger book?

I have jus t received the book and am delighted with the effect. If I had a criticism it would be only that the binding method does not allow great access to the symbols as they are very close to the inside edge.

For those who have the effect, you might like to try this as a way of involving more spectators whilst hiding the number force in plain sight. I will not explain this in too much detail, but for those who have Reflections, you will understand.

I open my pad and write 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, along the top. I pass the pad to the first spect and have them circle any number. This is repeated twice more by two more spects. The pad is passed to a 4th spect who now uses these three numbers as per the instructions. I explain that by this method absolutely no one could know which number the 4 spect is thinking of as it is never revealed.

I've done another print run of the parlour version and pocket. The Kioku pages in the back of the book are now numbered!

I also used a thinner stock for the paper, so it is very easy to open both versions and see the symbols next to the entries without having to hold the front and back covers open.

It's very nice.

I received Reflections today. Though I've yet to try it out I'm happy with it and can see lots of potential :)

One suggestion however, it'd be better if the ESP symbols looked a bit more like those that appear on real ESP cards. The 'wavy lines' appear as straight lines, and the circle appears as a letter 'O' - small points, I know but I'm all about the small details!

I'll most likely buy more things from Outlaw in the future.

I got mine a few weeks ago. It arrived so quickly it was dizzy when it got here  This is for too inexpensive for how good it is. I can only assume that Rick has gone insane by offering it at such a low price ! (maybe all the sun has affected him!) Seriously though, this is one of the best effects i have purchased in a long time. It is a killer out in the real World. Works without any problems and i learnt the effect very quickly. I regularly get cries of 'no way!' when this is performed. A great piece that everyone should own. I notice They do special packages for mutliple purchases, wonder if i can get a special price for one of everything

Stephen....Shhhhhhh!

We fellow Relections owners try to keep quiet about this effect

In fact, I'm sure I heard mention that it had recently been discontinued, and won't be going back into production any time soon

That aside, it's really not worth buying any way...honest! 8)

No harm done, my friend...just wanted to ensure that not too many folks end up using this.

[Psst...Roth - put the price up this instant! ]

I really like this effect but I was curious if there was a good way to "age" the book so it looks older?

You could, technically, age the book - but I don't know how easily the book could be taken apart to hand-age each page. Unlike the other Outlaw books, this one isn't ring bound, so removing the pages can be tricky.

Is there a particular reason why you want to age it?

I think it looks better aged.

The book is supposed to be something like 20 yrs old (going by the copyright). I think it gives it a little extra mystery.

I don't think the book needs to be aged, it's dated 1984.

If you want to add some character you could dog ear the cover and some pages.

You can also take some fine grain sandpaper and rough up the velo binding.

has the "style" of ESP symbols been addressed? ie. the suggestion they dont look like "typical" ESP symbols... I am contemplating purchase and just wondered if it was an "issue".

I'm sure someone will chime in on this too but..I never say they are ESP symbols. I just reveal what the "shape" is.

I also say "you will also notice several different symbols or shapes on the page you're looking at. At some point I'm going to ask you to concentrate on the symbol next to your entry...
